The numbers printed on the base of the control knob allow you to easily select and see which gas mark your oven is set to. The control knob kit is extremely easy to assemble yourself. It comes in 3 pieces, with the spring attaching to the end of the dial, then both pieces slotting inside the plastic case with very little effort required.
